There's a deal on at my local "Norauto" (same as Halfords over here in Froggy land) and they're offering 2 reclining race/road seats for the price of one (150€) including the mounting kit.
Just wondered what you guys think - good, bad or otherwise.
I'm not racing just wanted a nicer look than the VTR's seats which are getting a little worn after 150k miles.
Seats look like this >>

Yes that's what I thought - will see them in the flesh tomorrow to check the quality etc. but reckon at that price there worth a punt.

Saw them in the real today - had a sit and to be honest I was very impressed and have ordered 2 - should be in the shop for Thursday and will get them fitted after the weekend (cos I'm away).
I've had a few cars with buckets and recliners and these seemed pretty good. Decent material and fairly robust.
Will update with some photos once installed.

For that price mate they will probably wear quickly into the state of your worn vtr seats! Cusion will go soft quick and the material will fade stretch and go out of shape easily.

Maybe - someone else said that about my Hi-Back Cobras which have now been in my Defender for nearly 8 years and still in great shape despite some hard off road action. I recall I paid about £120 a piece for them also.
Time will tell :zainy:

Yes, sounds about right I've seen some really knackered old style buckets (SFY's) that looked like elephants had been mating in them.
Not expecting miracles but for 150€ for two I won't be moaning too much. I've found someone local who bought a pair last year (300€ for 2 lol) and his are still fine - so unless they've changed the build I should be OK for a while.

Collected the seats today and hoping to fit them next week - look great.
Any advice regarding the seat belt tensioners - these seem to be fitted to the existing seats and not sure where/how to attach them to the new ones - suggestions please???
