so yesterday i went up to worthing to do a paint correction on Ben121290's audi a3. only got a few shots because i was busy lol. but hoping ben will get some final shots up as it got dark as soon as i finished.
process.
rinse
alloys in bilbery and dettol multi purpose cleaner
rinse
2bm 3m shampoo. dettol multi purpose cleaner.
rinse
dry
clayed wth megs clay with 3m shampoo as lube
2bm with zymol auto wash
rinse
dry
polishing.
megs swirl remover on megs polishing pad
megs ultimate compound on megs polishing pad
sealed with fk1000p
wax dodo juice hard candy
i know no snow foam i left my bottle at home.:wall:
main problem i had with this car wasn't the swirls but it was no joke thousands of tiny scratches in the surface. this paint has had a hard 11 years. any way all sorted now:cool:

where did you get ur megs polishing pads?
and what do you use when applying polish and wax?

that's the problem i have mikey is that is what i got. by the time i finished it was uber dark.
i got the pads from a local car shop and applied sealant and wax via megs foam applicator

2bm = 2 bucket method

Wee tip Wadyoru: Wash your wheels/tyres/arches first, they'll be far dirtier than the bodywork plus you could do without all the splashes/product/dirt etc being splattered all over your just washed panels.

not really as they were straight lol. i'd say someone washed it with a dish sponge you know those ones with a scouring pad

I will get pics up when i can. Maybe tomorow, gotta sort out the problem of the MAF sensor first, it was better when it wasn't connected. But car is 100% better now. Actually reflects rather than looking like a chalk board grey
