I doubt it as the UK is a pile of w@nk!
We are in massive debt ourselfs and we are giving another country 7 Billion to help with their debts!!!! I just don't get it
Ireland - Fuck off, we are handling our own debt (well...trying and failing). Why can't you? :boxing:

Best understand why we are giving a loan before moaning.
Most exports out the uk are to ireland. If that stops our economy is massively fucked.
Its not in our interest to have Irelands economy collapse unless you want them to drag us down with them.

As said, Ireland are one of the UK's most inportant trade relationships.
It would be worse in the long run for us to let their economy collapse

The biggest issue which people with blinkers on/who read what the sun say is that they fail to realise how deeply involved with the issues in ireland are our banks, espec out age old favourite RBS.
If they have a collapse over there it will have massive implications for the uk.
So again blame the UK banks for poor managment not just the irish needing the bail out at current.

I do completely agree with what you've said.
But We don't Police the Irish spending. Besides that when the government was in trouble alot was shielded from the public, which is why alot of the Irish Public are shocked and angry.
Both the UK and Ireland are to blame, But I personally disagree with the UK's Huge bailout offer. When other Countries under the Euro happily sit back and recover.

Theres been a large collapse in the housing market, this has been to overspending by people living beyond their means.
The problem is the irish government were not the ones in charge of getting money from the uk bank to fund a bigger house/development.
Its RBS being so heavily involved where we need to help, if RBS were to end up going uunder for example, we would be in deep deep deep doo doo

Find it shocking how blinded people are.
We need the Irish economy to stabilise otherwise we will just end up worse.
They themselves dont want the hand out unless they really need to take it, and fair play for them trying to sort it out before asking for money.
I know we dont exactly have a lot of money as a country but we'll have even less if Ireland goes under.

Hold on a minute lad, Alot of my family are from the ROI, and the Murderers and people like that were the minority, think about what you are saying before you say it... I'm Church of England but my Mum and her side of the family are Catholic, and my Grandad moved away from Ireland to keep his family safe. So, as said Irish people are Murderers? No not even all Catholics.... Its a minority. Think boy think

Except they are not. Portugal, Italy and Spain had weak economies before the crash and are close to needing bailouts themselves. The Irish problems are dragging others down.

UK Banks gave way too much money to Irish property businesses and to investors. They have been going through a massive property boom since joining the euro as people from overseas bought up masses of property, driving prices through the roof. No-one can afford to buy these properties now so these companies are going under as ongoing developments are simply not required. Our banks effectively caused the problem by funding these loans.
