Ok as some of you may know some knobs have smashed my back window its all repaired now but there is still shards of glass on my paintwork the guy that fitted my window said just go for a quick drive it will blow off im thinking that glass moving along pait is not such a good idea so anyone else got any other ideas?
Pressure washer maybe? I dont know :(

I would think to hose it but at real low pressure and don't use a sponge as it will scratch

what a clever idea your window fitter had, let it come off on the road to puncture other cars tyres lol.... and i would agree with above option... low pressure hose or a jug full of water slowly poored over it

Had your paintwork got a few layers of polish/wax/sealant on?
Mine does so.. If it was me i would get a jug of really really really soapy water, gentle pour it over the car.
Then get a hose pipe, and gentle hose it off slowly.

u want a very fine detail brush to get them off mate, a brush with very soft and fine brissles on it like the one they use to look for fingerprints

Am i the only one who would put a glove on and carefully remove each piece individually?
Running water would still make the glass travel over the paint - thus scratching it
A brush would sweep the glass over the paint - thus scratching it
If you carefully pick off the glass it'll take a while but will save any RDS or light scratching.

If theres very soapy water all over the paint then it would lubricate it, thus minimizing damage. And yes i think you are the only one, along with James.
Similar to people using a clay bar :detective:

Supppose it wouldnt be too bad. Would wash it off the golf as it's white, not too sure if it was red.

Old bit of detailing clay, lube it up, and stick it to the piece glass dead on straight. Should pick it up and straight off the paint.
