im going to a dvla office tomorrow to take my private plate off and add my new one..(currently on retention)

i dont need to take my car do i?
what else do i need?
current tax disc?
the retention form?
mot?

anything else?

Dont need the car mate

You need the retention form thing, V5, MOT & tax disc. :y: I took my insurance aswell because wasn't sure but they never needed that. Take it anyway though lol. Its only paperwork stuff they need so they can change over anything with the reg on it :y:

No don't need your car.

Just V5, retention certificate, MOT & tax disc.

Don't forget to call you insurance company and notify them aswell.

I thought they stopped doing this? They had at the one in Nottingham about a year ago when I wanted the plate from my old car. You have to do it all by post now, or has it changed again?

depends on the office and also how busy they are.

Take the insurance, just incase but they check the database
