Was it a Section 59 by any chance? Lasts a year.

Im not to sure, main page of it said IIRC.

Explanatory Notice
You have been served with an injunction
If you participate in Racing, Specatating And/Or any form of Convoy anywhere within the Area/Areas surrounding Hams-Hall you will be in contempt of court and may face jail.

Yeah if you contact the police station they'll have it on record and it's expiery date, if they can't find it, it's either never been filed properly, been lost or it's expired. Any of those three and they have nothing to pull you up on as there paper work isn't there to back it up.

Ignore it, there is a difference between a Cruise/Meet and street racing. A Meet/Cruise to park up and admire and meet other car enthusiasts. A Street race, racing in between roundabouts risking lives and breaking the law.

All good then, ill either give them a call or pop down speak to them. Saves me a bit of hassle :D
Hopefully its expired, so can go through that way, if not will have to go all round the block haha

If they do pick a argument, you will win in the courts if you can prove it was a meet with pictures etc. and claim that you have been targeted by the policemen etc.

Are Section 59's still legal? Nottingham had a HUGE injunction where any more than 4 cars in convoy were banned ANYWHERE in Nottingham.

That was however overturned earlier on in the year. I don't know if the overturning was just Nottingham or nationwide

That was shit. All me and my mates wanted to do was meet up and have a chat and you couldn't do that in peace. You'd get 4 or 5 of us, in a corner, no car's running, no music and you'd get hassled for being in a group.

Minority, spoiling... Comes to mind.

Section 59's are no longer allowed. To be fair, I quite often see people in Odeon or Sainburys car park being idiots lol

Either way, Section 59's are not enforced in Nottingham anymore.

Tbf, the cop's know us nowaday's and know we're not the one's causing any hassle. We've been around too long lol. Shit, i feel old haha.

I used to love going up Hams Hall. Meet at Maccys in Minworth I think (lol) then convoy over. The 2 roundabouts are about a 1/4 mile apart. Great fun!

Sorry to say, but a section 59 is fucking stupid anyway.

I got one back in July 09. Ran for 12 months not a problem.

I keep getting stopped by police, around 4 times in 2 months. 1 where they actually had a reason to do so. The other 3 just because I looked dodgy to them. When they ask "are you known to the police at all", I say "No, never been arrested".. They radio back and I always get "Blah Blah Blah Section 59".. They then say "You are known to us then, why lie?".. I say it run out and it should be gone off my record etc. One time when I was leaving work this convosation ended up in a heated arguement, the police have abused the Section 59 law. They are a fucking JOKE!!!

I haven't made the journey to Hams Hall in a few years. The standard of cars was actually pretty high. I may have to make my way down there soon.

Mind you, it's just Birmingham's version of Junction 27, Nottingham

J27's ridiculous nowaday's anyway. Too many hero's that can't handle car's. Plus that biker this year who died.
Any biker who think's they can tackle a half decent set-up car on roundabout's is a dickhead anyway in all fairness. Not that i wish that kinda thing on anyone.

But it is, it's going too far now... Police in Mansfield have been going round talking to us and are trying to sort a place for us to meet and even mentioned a drag strip.
Personally don't give a shit if it's got a drag strip or not, i won't use it. But it's handy for my mate with his C2 V6 and 200sx i suppose.

I agree with you completely. But at the same time, there are some awesome cars up there.

I used to attend Netherfield until about two years ago too. How somebody hasn't been killed down there I do not know!

Never been Nevo. The idea of racing down a short strip with only one entrance/exit has never appealed to me lol. From what i've heard it's crap anyway.

And you do get some good car's up there, yea. My mate's Clio own's pretty much everything that goes up there. But he's daft going up there. I wouldn't if i were him lol.

Section 59's are good in theory - stopping anti social behaviour, it's a good thing, what get's me is how quickly they are handed out, and the fact that any member of the public can ring up and report a car being used in an anti social manner and that is "proof"

Section 59's don't seem to be based on evidence or justice, but police discretion, this is a terrible idea, the law enforcement should be enforcing the law, not retribution (judge, jury and executioner effect) they should be kept as two different bodies, as far apart as possible, only to collaborate for justice, not to blur the lines of it.
