Dog of a VTR :( Please help!!

Hi i recently bought my first car, a 1998 Saxo VTR Mk1!!

It looks like a decent car from the outside lol but after a quick check over at my local garage it turns out to be a dog with a forged MOT it appears :(

I have a list as long as my arm with repairs, i paid £650 for it and here is a brief list of what needs to be done...

O/S CV boot & N/S
A lot of welding to the chassis
new exhaust (gonna get a stainless steel one anyway)
Brake lines corroded
Brake discs and pads all round

Do you think its worth getting it repaired or to just sell it and cut my losses??

do you know anyone who can do the welding for you cheaper than a garage
maybe get brake lines disks and pads from a scrap yard or just scrap it and sell the bits off it

Have you taken it to another garage to get a second opinion? I bet they said you wanna sell it!? obvo and dont tell the second garage that you have spoken to another, just to see what they come up with
