People that do have these, or iPhone's for that matter? Who are you with, do you get decent internet speeds etc?
Looking into getting one after christmas and as yet unsure who to go with.

I'm with o2.
I get decent speeds out and about, but most of the time I'm on wifi to be honest?

Got an iPhone4 with Orange. 1GB allowance, 0.00004kb/s download.
As above, 99% of the time I'm connected to WiFi - either at home or through a hot spot.
WiFi's far quicker and preserves battery life vs 3G.

I'm with tesco Yo. Not as quick as o2 even though they piggy back the o2 network

At least you've got the nice option of a 12 month tariff though, don't think I could ever keep a phone for 18 or even 24 months.

Just looked and it seems Tesco don't offer a standalone data plan for the iPad, so there ruled out, along with T-Mobile who I shall never use again after all the hassle I had trying to use the web abroad!

What about 3?

Yeah, they seem to look the cheapest at the moment. Just need to see if their speeds have improved. Had a Nokia E71 with them last year, and the speeds were dreadful.

I'm with orange on my mobile, well... T-Mobile (but its the same company / network.) Thire prices on the iPad with data allowance aren't too bad to be honest, and their 3G signal is quite strong.
Think its £199 for the small iPad and like £25 a month for the tariff?

I'm with 3 on my iphone and the 3g is very fast where I live.
However go 5 miles down the road and it wont even connect :S.
With most companies you can check coverage of your area on their website.

I wouldn't go with 3 personally. Mums phone is on 3 and its always on 1 bar for connectivity. Its not the phone as shes had a few replacements, just shit connection.

Its more dependant on how good the network is in your local area tbh. I'm on O2 & couldnt get better speed in Edinburgh, it drops off pretty quicly as soon as i leave the boundaries of the city though.
Mates with Orange fair much better on the outskirts.
I have a mate stuck on Three Network & he cant get any signal at all in his house in the city centre, it gets better on the outskirts of town but if your in the car you need to pull over before you'll get 3G.
