ive got some bare polished wheels (no lacquer on them).. and with all this bad weather and grit on the roads, there getting a bit of a state. so in the new year ill be taking them off to sand down , and repolish them. is there any type of sealant/pertection i could put on them. Also i give them a clean every other week with auto sol just to bring the shine back.. Are there any other products around the same sort of price that will give better results.
cheers

any one . was looking at one of these cheap kits.. would it be better than autosol and a polishing wheel. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALLOY-ALUMINIUM-WHEEL-SIDE-CASING-POLISHING-KIT-/250731730372?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a60c695c4

the way we polish the aluminium up at work is to use one of the kits that you have found on ebay they are good for a first and second cut but we like to use brasso after them to give a 3rd cut and to clean the metal before autosol metal polish this gives a way deeper shine on the aluminium and a better depth of gloss.

once all polished up clean the ally with warm soapy water and meths then use the products listed above to seal against damage in the future.
