I got offered a set of what they described as Citroen Speedlines today dirt cheap. They are 14" and look like this:

http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/81/speedlines.jpg

Are they actually Citroen wheels or just Speedline wheels which someone has stuck Citroen centre caps on?

Next question is are they worth much considering they are bubbling and only have 3 tyres with 5mm tread on?

Apologies if this is the wrong section but I need a fairly quick answer.
Thanks in advance....

For £60 mate you can't really go wrong. I don't think they look bad tbh either

At that price, i'd say they're not the genuine Citroen one's tbh. But still doesn't sound a bad price tbf.

They might not know what they are. These aren't being sold privately and are in a Cash Converters style shop.

Fuck it I'm going down tomorrow and gonna get them if they still have them. How can you tell if they're the real Citroen ones? and how much do they 'go for'?

I was gonna keep them and refurb them myself in anthracite but if they're rare I may do them in gold and sell them on.

if they are the genuine citroen ones they will have the citroen arrows stamped into the back if they are and you want to sell i know a couple of lads who will gladly buy them from you for about 400 without tyres.

as said they really are rare if there the genuine ones.

Correct. When i was looking for some for my vts a set of new genuine ones went for nigh on a grand.

Picked them up. Don't think they're the rare ones coz I can't see a stamp on them. Is it actually imprinted on the wheels?

Anyway here they are:

The inside:

(no Citroen markings, just says ITALY, ET16, PCD 108 etc)

I think if my car was lowered they'd look alright but I'm not sure. They all need a full refurb and 2 new tyres. If I refurbed I think they'd be anthracite or possibly Old English White.

What do you think? Any ideas?

Also can the heavy kerbing and slight flat spots be repaired or will I have to file down the edge of the wheel?

They are speedline comp2's. There were some citroen branded ones but they were basically the same wheel.

Good quality strong wheel, alot better than wolfrace and momo etc.

i bought a set of 15's in similar nick for £100. I cant see them going for much more than £100 in 14s

i bought a set of them, the seller told me they had come off his limited edition saxo. i payed £60 for them and only slight curb mark on one. i wasnt fussed if they were limited edition or not i just wanted some 14inch speedline comp2 for my rallye.

They don't look like they're buckled but you can never be too sure. Gonna look in to refurbing them. If I do them myself I need to sort the bad kerbing out first and slight flat spot. How can I get this sorted? Would an alloy refurb place do it do you reckon?

Also how much do you think it'll cost?

Once they're refurbed they won't be gold, that's for sure.

£25-£50 per wheel depending on how good you want them

Would that include sorting the kerbing and flat spot? I only really need that doing as I can do the rest myself.

iirc they can fill them or weld them..

Some wheel places have serious skill, theres a local place to me named "alloy magic" and them seem pretty top notch.
