Popped around the 25 to Brands this morning. Looking at the weather forecast I didn't really fancy it but seeing as I'd pre-booked the tickets I didn't feel like wasting 25 quid of my (not so) hard earned.

Queued up for a bit to get in and headed straight for Stirlings for the F3000 Masters. These things are PROPER fast..

Then the World Touring Car boys came out for their warm-up. No matter what anyone says about Touring Cars, they're pretty spectacular and quick....and the WTCC is no exception, and the series has some proper fast boys at the pointy end of the grid.

EX SEAT champ Rob Huff Chevy

Alex Zanardi BMW taking a lot of kerb. He's lost none of his balls

Then there was a lull in the proceedings so we headed to Druids for the Formula P*lmer Audis, which was 2 deep at the fences, inside and outside of the bend. I shot a grand total of ZERO of these cars.

Nigel Mansell was doing some demo laps in a BMW M3GTR. He wasn't hanging around either

A nice lunch break and a chance to warm up and dry out then over to Clearways.

Alfa Romeos are posh FIATs. In this spec they're quite photogenic

Then back over to the GP Circuit while they fixed all the broken bits of cars back on. By this time the rain was a bit gay.

Costa on the kerbs at Sheene Curve (I prefer to call it Dingle Dell Corner, as it used to be called)

ERROR!!!111 That's not supposed to happen

And that's a 1/50s pan of Gabriele Tarquini's SEAT thing. It was a bit wet.

Great pics as usual Dave..... I watched some of that on the TV and thought to myself "I bet Dave is on one of the bends absolutely soaked to the bone".

Great recovery by the bloke in the Bemmer to go off the track straight after the safety car went off, but then managed to skim it across the gravel and get back on the track.
