a couple of days ago i was driving along main road and there was a taxi waiting to come out onto the main road. let him go and he started to pull out and then all of a sudden this scooter flys past him(also from the same sidestreet coming onto main road) on the outside and goes smack into the front wing of the taxi and bails off into the middle of the road! it was a good job there was traffic and there were no cars flying along the road to be honest!
what suprise me the most was when the scooter driver took his helmet off, it was an old man with a moustache n beard! must have been at least 60! some people helped him up and pulled scooter off the road to let us continue! no offence but older people of society shouldnt be driving scooter! goes to prove how dangerous they are!

Bit of a harsh generalisation in my opinion... smileys/smiley5.gif
- you said you were surprised to see it was an old guy on a scooter - so you were expecting presumably a young person to be driving it like a numpty?
Anyway, like Dan said it could've been a lot worse.
I agree that as some people get older, they shouldn't be on the roads, like saxovtr1234's example smileys/smiley3.gif

It's not a scooter as in a glorified hairdryer, it has more of a 'motor bike' appearance.
The name of it begins with 'H' and ends in 'man' but I'm fcuked if I can remember what it's called..... smileys/smiley5.gif
