Test Drive

Is there an age limit on test driving a car, or you just need a full license or what? fancy doing some test driving before buying my next car

I test drove a C5 2.2HDi when i was 17
But i got refused a test drive of an S2000

It all depends on the garage.

hmm maybe if i just wap out my license and a credit card of some sort say im interesting in buying this may i take a test drive, i may also buy today if i like it smileys/smiley2.gif they will say yes ok Sir smileys/smiley17.gif, must depend on what you wanna test though.

Something I have wanted to do but never did it, was go to a few garages and test drive a few cars.

Depends what you want to test drive.

A Kai - i doubt you'd have much trouble with

A Ferrari - the salesman will need to run a check through a bank and do a credit rating check to confirm that you can at least put a deposit down.

And manufactures in between do various other things.
Dress like a scruff and then VW wont touch you
Dress like you've just finished work for the day i.e. smart trousers and shirt and you might be able to pull it off.

Yeah also depends what car you turn up in! When i was looking for a car after the saxo, i went to VW to look at a few Golf GTI's they would not let me test drive one cause they said i will never get insured! so i went got the Ibiza Cupra, went back a few months later in the Ibiza and they just let me test dive them! it is very strange the way they do things !
