Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel, no questions asked imo.
If you want a more permanent (yearly) fix then go for G-Techniq C4

Back to black
No. Just No. back to black is a poor mans option. And its a poor product.
Auto Glym Bumper Care mate, i'D swear by it. Go to my threads n see my vtr' bump strips spesh the back auto glym has working in so much its smoothed off the top shitty bumpy layer so it looks like its gloss painted <3

Depends what route you want to take. You can either use the products above... or mask off and actually spray them with a gloss black paint?
I know a few people from SE region who have painted strips which look good :)

auto glym is good and makes them look good but it runs in the rain and is snotty stuff applying
chemical guy's stuff is cracking but not readily available in shops you have to buy online

I tried a few products on my 85 golf
boiled linseed oil is quite good but doesn't last. (dirt cheap though)
C4 = the best solution but expensive.
Or as others said give it a blast with a heatgun, if you already have one then its free :)
