After reading a couple of threads, and the the fact its mother-effing shit weather at the moment. What's your town like for thoughtful and considerate drivers?
Personally my home town Dumfries is full of wankers that wouldn't give you the time of day. I find taxi drivers the worst.
Carlisle is better though, always let out of difficult junctions, people don't seem to jump traffic lights and don't see too much hooliganism...

Mines full of people who think they dont have to indicate anywhere, chelsea tractors bullying everything in sight and general German car arrogance.

Mine's a 50/50 split. Sometimes I sit at a junction for 5mins waiting for someone to let me out, but more often than not within 3 cars someone flashes me and slows down.

Very inconiderate, lots of nice people that will help out (even the snobby ones) but this city is full of rich and overpaid wankers who think because there driving expensive cars they are better than anyone else on the road, so in otherwords, you make your own space in a safe way.

Also as you said about taxi's, come up to aberdeen and fuck me... taxi's turn round like there driving a tank on the high street they dont give a shit whats coming infront of them, they just turn round on the road after picking up a client at the taxi rank, pisses me off.

People seem to let me out of junctions and are generally better around me since i've owned the golf. Think they just remember when they used to own one (everyone has) and like me.
It was hell in the saxo, just another chavvy shit box in their eyes.

Mostly Corsa driving rude bois, and elitists VAG bellends in their slow-as-fuck slammed 6N Polos.
Taxis aren't too bad around in here in my experience.
Plenty of middle-aged women in 4x4s though unfortunately.

Aye I've noticed that, in the Saxo I get looked down at and never given a chance, then when I've been running around in the ACS - it's like I'm fucking God compared to a Saxo driver.
The only bad thing in Carlisle is how close people tend to drive behind you, even in this shit weather. That may be something to do with the poor instructors around here though...

Between about 8-10 its mainly housewives in brand new audi/bmw 4x4s which they have no idea how to drive and don't seem to realise the size of them.
Apart from these its generally ok get the odd few wankers every now and again the same with anywhere.

I was going to start a thread about this actually.
Around my area the drivers are very nice and courteous but when I'm at my Grans gawd! I need to take chill pills.
She lives in a small villiage in Stafford called Great Haywood, it's very small a steep hill to her street, People NEVER! give way for you.
Once I pulled into her street and some guy in a 4x4 shook his head at me was late 60's thought what is his problem. Got out my car knocked on his window and said do you have a problem? He put his foot down and drove off, all cowards.
Not saying everyone there drives bad there has been times I've been stuck In Stafford town centrte and buses etc have let me out but most of the time I go mental when I'm driving down there, it's just as well I know the roads well.

To be fair.... My village isn't that bad... All the parents are quite helpfull in the bad weather... They all drive carefully around my village.. I think it's mainly because all the young lot havent really bothered with driving.

women with massive 4x4 think they own the road, in this weather they think they can go really fast because its a 4x4 but forget that they break the same as any other car. Come slamming into you...

Everyman for himself round here.
I try to let people out etc as much as possible though, as I love the look on there faces of suprise. They all just see a young lad driving a saxo n think I'm a prick. I am a prick but I don't like being judged.

Aye you're right mate, Stranraer's a scary place. You get those 'looks' like they know you're not from around here! Like League of Gentlemen.
Best place I've driven was probably Leeds, the traffic system seems to work really well and everyone drives the right speed and know where they're going. Its easy even for a newbie to drive around and not get too lost...

Worst place I've driven in is definitely Brighton.
Millions of taxis, tourists that don't understand "Moving car vs. pedestrian = Death" and idiots that shouldn't even have a licence. Coupled with traffic lights every 20yds. Absolute nightmare!
