now this stupid weather has fucked up everybodys heating/cooling ect. so heres a quick tread on how to bleed it.

WITH ENGINE RUNNING, in order with diagram, until liquid comes out of each INDIVIDUALLY (once it comes out of 1 put cap back on)

1: undo the raditor cap
2: undo the bleed nipple that looks like a tyre valve cap
3: on top of rad (where indicated) there`s a twist `n` pull nipple.

hope this helps. as it fixed mine.

Good guide mate but some saxo`s have an allen key on the thermostat which you also open to bleed coolant.

I also find that as the cap at 2 is higher than the top of the filler at 1, you can't get the water up to that point.

I fill a 2 litre coke bottle up with water hold it upside down in the filler's neck and squeeze the water in until it come out at 2.

Is the engine hot when you start this procedure? I mean are you relying on heat expansion to force the water out of the bleed points?

you are ment to put a header bottle on the rad cap and then bleed from next to the inlet then the thermo then then rad there is a proper guide somewhere on here

When the engines hot and running you dont need the thermostat bleed point because the thermostat is open. To get the last trace of air out I run the motor with the heater hose nipple loose and wait for water to seep out, then tighten.
