Gear lever flopping over.

My gear stick is flopping over towards 5th and reverse gear. There is a spring resistance when u push it towards 1st and 2nd and when u let it go it springs then flops over to the 5th and reverse side again. Can somone help me?

check to see if all the linkages are connected ok and the your engine mounts are in ok condition

I'm in fareham mate. Iv looked at the linkage everything seems to be connected.
