basically coming home, turning left down a steep hill and fat patch of ice on the corner and BANG went right into the curb the whole drivers side took me ages to get out of the ice...

driving home the wheels seem to scrap it all just drives bent if you know what i meen

all i can tell at the min cause its dark is the rear drivers wheel is sitting bent and under the bonnet the battery has moved of the plate and was right up againt the standard induction i swear batterys are bolted down....

So do you think it could be a whole new torsion bar or what?? maybe just a bent wheel what else could it affect!!! Please

also its like tail happy i was driving so slow home but the back end comes out every corner like the hand brake is on or something

its a s2 106 rallye by the way

Best to have a look in the morning to see what the damage is!

Could be new rear beam time!

New wheel or beam mate, hopefully the cheaper option!

Doesn't matter how careful you are, ice is lethal and even turning round a corner can lead to trouble!

If it's a rear axle, just kill yourself.

Or pay someone to do it.

Or if you can use a spanner do it yourself.

I'm changing mine at the moment, well, I say that, I'm avoiding changing mine in the freezing cold, I hated doing it and I'm only half way through, problems for me so far have been the handbrake cable not releasing from the calliper, one of the four bolts that holds the axle on needed to be kept very taught and clearly the thread was fucked, and you will need a flare spanner for the brake lines, or you will round the nuts of and want to punch yourself in the sack (how I feel most of the time).

Good luck.
