Will do but doesn't cause a problem wen moving
only wen stood, e.g. parking or reversing?? Sounds
like wen you turn when your wheel is on a stone...

Mine does this, mechanic who did service/mot/fitted new drive shaft for me said that the spring had been taken off/replaced at some point and it wasn't seated properly, nothing dangerous but just makes the popping noise as it releases tension that builds up at the wheel turns.

Is it a fairly good setup with just shorter srings on the front and a
lower rear?

KrisB

Not always, the shocks wont last forever... how long is a peice of string?

You're usually best getting better shocks but there's no law out there to tell you that you have too.

Ok fella, well I'm on a majorly low budget (baby on the way) hence why I laid in the snow yesterday to fit my own exhaust lol. So thought some 60mm springs would do for now unless I can get a set off here..

KrisB
25th December 2010, 22:20
60mm is gonna push it, i'll say that now :)

makkie_d
25th December 2010, 22:27
Why you say that? Was going to slam 60mm front and make the
rear level, think it's about 70mm to level out???

KrisB

I mean you'll need better shocks from the start. The ride that low on standard shocks really isn't to be desired. :)

Oh I see, hmmm well I'll keep my eyes peeled for a cheap set of shocks. If you
hear anything give us a shout mate.

Yo, based near Heathrow so not mega far, might get in touch with you in february to get mine lowered. I'm looking for a sensible drop at front and rear while maintaining ride comfort, so nothing overly daft, thinking about getting 16's too. You have your own workshop? Which shocks and springs would you recommend?

KrisB
25th December 2010, 23:49
If you're on a budget the just get the spax vsx kit, fixed rate shocks.

I do indeed have my own workshop :)

I'm off to bed soon so feel free to visit my website... www.krisb.co.uk you can email me from there :)
