Saxo Battery Differences?

bit of a noob question but never had to change a battery.

looking through ebay at batteries and more expensive for one for a a 1600 than a 1100, but then the same company have one listed for a 1200 saxo, which had made me wonder is there any difference, does the 1600 require a different battery to the smaller engined cars?

i looked on another site and it just lists one battery for all engine sizes for a saxo

It's usually down to the current required for the starter motor mate i.e. a bigger engine usually needs a bigger starter motor (and diesels need bigger starters because the compression ratio is higher on them). Tbh you'll be fine just getting a bog standard one which you've seen - just check the Ah or Ah rating on the battery and make sure it's a reasonable value. Can't remember off the top of my head what mine is though.

For little saxos virtually any size battery will do the trick. Its a good brand you want - then it wont keep going flat with the weather.
