I'm getting one closer to summer time been looking for one for a few years now, best part is even @ 125.9 only £25 to fill the tank plus there is a way to get it registered so you don't pay no roadtax as emissons is sub 100

I'd have one over a 1.1 its faster and has the sound lol

I'm looking for one as we speak.

Just not sure if I'd be able to get insured being 19 and it being classed as an import, need to look in to it.

How do you register it to be Road Tax-less?

I am going to give you the heads up now any Beat you see in the UK average prices have been 3.5k - 5k, there have been a few for sub 2k recently so if you do get on the case.

If you import one it is just about doable for 2k lots of choice aswell depending on how much you wanna spend, insurance is just about doable at 19. I think when I got quoted was a year or so back 5kmiles a year f/c was about 500 ish for me.

When you take it to get registered on uk plates and have all the checks done basically need documentation from Honda stating what the emissions output is from reading up on it the beat is 100 and cut off is 102 before you have to pay a whole £20

Cappuccino even better 3 cylinder turbo:D

Yeah, seen a few for under two grand. Some were projects, that doesn't really bother me, not too sure what a convertible will be like in the winter, so best to work on it over the coming months.

The Cappuccino's all seem to be insanely expensive, even for projects.

I was looking on a dedicated Beat forum. PH seems to be a bit overpriced when looking for obscure cars.

I'll just have to keep an eye out on there for a bargain, same on the Cappuccino Owners forum. Just got a hunkering for some small japanese convertible-ness

This in GT5 racing modification livery looks awesome!

If my mate can fit in one we are thinking of getting one for a track project lol

Honda beat looks pretty cool too though.

Yeah, I've been looking for one of the two to get a bit of track action in like, should be able to compensate for the lack of power, with the grin factor :)

Wayne from Chipwizards has a Hayabusa powered Cappuccino, goes like stink.

Are they actually any good though? I performance figures arent that great, or am I missing something? Any decent upgrades for them?

Reechard
28th December 2010, 18:43
Should be some decent upgrades as they are raced in the K cup in Japan. If not powerful enough just find something that will fit in it. My mate has a honda city, currently deciding either to hyabusa engine or mr2 tubro it.

The Cappuccino seems to get the thumbs up, and being Turbo'd, you'll probably be able to have it as powerful as your bank balance allows you. Not sure about tuning on the Beat, people don't seem to mention anything other than Exhausts or an Induction kit.
