Ow hai dder
Had a nice letter from the DVLA saying i have failed to re tax my old VTR,strange seeing as i sold it in april

When selling i made sure the V5 was filled in and sent off and im almos 100% sure i had a letter confirming it

Tax ran out 01/10/2010 and i never had a tax reminder to say it was running out

now i cant get hold fo DVLA as,and i quote"due to a high number of calls all of our advisors are busy" yeah right

I cant remember the new owners name or addy BUT when i sold the car i bought my MK2 jetta from him,so cna i give them the jetta's reg plate and tell them to use his details?

Anyone know if i cna find the owners details at all?
The saxo is insured(checked via askMID)

if i went to my local DVLA office, would they be able to find the prev owner of the jetta's details and then use them to contact him?

Might be worth going to the local office, I always do I find dealing with them so hard over the phone!

should always keep notifications for change of ownerships, makes things like this (dvla are tards) and dodgey fines etc easy to sort out

if you didnt get one though thats another matter....
