mot time is nearly here and need to replace my backbox as it has a massive hole in it. while i was under there noticed there was no cat, not under the car or on the downpipe. its a 2000 mk2 vtr and im pretty sure it should have one and dont want to take it down only to have it fail on emmisons.
i have manifold-single piece downpipe-middle box-backbox.
the car is totally standard looks like it always has been.
also the back box doesnt look like a vtr one either, it has no chrome tail pipe and the hanger wraps around abd underneath the box in one piece, not 2 seperate hangers either side.
has some on fitted the wrong exhaust at some point maybe?
cheers in advance :y:

All saxo`s have a Cat yours being a 2000 model it should have 1 on the downpipe, unless someone has de-catted it does it pop & bang and is the engine management light on?Definate MOT fail without the CAT mate.

should have a cat mate should be depending if you have a single plug or 3 plug ecu

single plug ecu should be:

manifold-front pipe-cat-centre section-back box

3 plug ecu should be:

manifold-cat-centre- back box
