hi i have a saxo vts and it had a recon vtr gear box fitted before i got it.
jus wondering if this is at any loss in terms of performance at all.
i was told vts boxes are better for top end speed and the vtr box better for acceleration.
true or not?
thanks :y:

You have been told wrong, its the other way round, although top speed isnt so much of a factor with them two boxes.

If you want shorter gearing then yeh the rallye boxes are worth looking at. 1.6 rallye box is the same as a 1.6 xsi box irc. 1.3 is alot shorter.

S2 rallye boxes aren't much different from a vts box iirc. A s1 box on the other hand will give mental acceleration, but top speed will be about 115 on the limiter iirc. There not common though.
