View Full Version : think something fell off?!?!?!?

right here goes. i was drivin at night and hear a noise and felt something hit under my driverside door. i thought maybe some kids had thrown something at the car then 40 mins later when i got bk into my town i pulled into garage got fuel etc etc.

when i drove of i steered to the right only a few degrees, almost straight and there were a couple of clunks from the steering column/shaft. i thought ok dont know what that is but might be nothin. then puttin car in my garage turned near full lock then straightened and it happened again. i drove in a straight line and it goes straight no little pull either way.

also the is an ever so slight rattle from what feels like under the engine when im drivin along, i turned stereo off and and slight bump makes this rattle. only noticed it since i heard somethin hit under my door. i cant pinpoint it as im very new to saxos and proper moddin.
it is a standard phase two vtr.

know this is long winded but im tryin to give as much info as poss.

be so grateful for any ideas as to whether somethin bad could be wrong and will it be costly? smileys/smiley5.gif smileys/smiley5.gif smileys/smiley5.gif

Not your engine mounts is it?

Before when i was driving along and i heard a giant clunk (so bad i thought someone threw something on my roof!) it ended up that the linkage had popped out

could that be what hit the underside of my door?

the first clunk tho when i got near home bout 40 mins after that, felt like it came from the botton of the steeringcolumn/shaft.

im baffled.

cheers i'll check what it says 2mrw. i think im still under warranty so i will check it and see what it drives like in the morning and maybe take it bk to garage if warranty is ok. cant find paperwork! doh!

is it worth getting a strut brace? my mates got a fiesta and has told me i should get one?

any of you pro's that were at FCS able to help with this??
