New digital slr

Hi guys I'm fairly new to the forum and just saw this section.

My 21st birthday is coming up and the mrs said she would by me a slr..... But what one??

She said I've got about £400 to spend but I want a brand new one.

Any help would be great!

Best thing to do is register on http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/ and post there, lots of helpful people :)

To be fair, if you have your heart set on a brand new camera, most models for £400 (entry level) will be the same, its just down to which you prefer to hold (most comfortable etc)
Sony DSLR's have the added bonus of IS (Image stabilisation) built into the body whereas Canon and Nikon have specific lenses with IS
Best thing to do is register for the forum above and read some of the posts, you will learn loads mate

Get a canon 1000d mate so if your not into it you havnt lost out on a lot of money on glass and bodies.
