Hi guys,

Question about tyre sizes here,

I currently have on Masitaly 205/40/16 and looking to replace the tyres to new.

Wondering if I could go up to 205/45/16..? Any ideas if this would make a big difference?

I'm told the extra 5mm would improve driving comfort, and are also a LOT cheaper to replace!

Thanks in advance

195-40-16 would be better.

will these fit ok?

I assumed the replacement tyres had to be exactly the same size as the current ones?

Going up to 45's with the 16 inch wheels is likely to cause rubbing issues especially if the cars lowered.

Stick with the 40 profiles

thx for the advice

the car isnt lowered at all, is there any disadvantage with sticking to the 40s?

No, 195-40-16 are the closest you'll get to the same diameter as the std 195-45-15 tyres.
