naively...very naively...i let someone else drive my saxo :wall:
this wouldn't have been to bad if they hadn't have plowed it into a big, stinkin ditch!:n:
no real damage apart from nearside front light and panel...however the smell from the ditch will not leave my car.
I've been driving it for about a month since, using a dehumidifier everynight to slowly remove the dampness but the smell just wont leave.
Do you think a car valet would do the job? i've never used the service before and am unsure on how thorough the job is done. any alternative ideas? :geek:
my vibe sub is currently sitting in my airing cupboard drying, and waiting til it can be returned to a dry and smell free car...
any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

As james said, give it a clean.
You can buy whats known as a Bomb, you let it off inside the car and it kills all the smells :A:

How easy is it to remove the carpet and do you think it would be worth it?
a Bomb...?

Not that hard to remove all the carpets but it would be a days work if you haven't done it before. The smelly bomb I said about, if you go onto ebay search for car fragrance bomb. Should come up I think they are about £11. It looks like a spray can and you let it off inside the car and leave it for 30mins. Then all the smells should be gone. They come in different fragrences, new car smell, cherry, lime...etc. Just have a look :)

All of the car dealers use them and they say they work. I would clean it best I could before letting it off. Just to five it best of chance to work.

My buddy asked me if he could drive my car when we were in the middle of nowhere last night... Aaaah Liam nothing will go wrong honestly I promise blah blah blah... we were on this icy country road with a ditch either side and I told him NOOOOOOO you're not driving my car mate... think if I did I would have likely been in the EXACT same situation lol.

a valet would clear up alll the smell .. they will have all the products to remove everything .. i used to be a valet my self so trust me i know ... i know a full valet consists of full interior and a wash and polish and wax out side .. but some offer just an interior .... for a saxo prices range from 55 to 75 pounds i would aim to pay around 55 pound for a full valet depending on where you are i could be of assistance .. :D
