Hi there
Im planning on lowering my 1.1 40mm on the rear, but iv been told that if i keep the standard shocks on it may bottom out with people in the back.

Firstly is this true and is it neccessary to uprate the shocks?

Secondly iv been looking at the bilstein rear shocks on KamRacing but im unsure as to which ones, iv been looking at the B6's but unsure on the best price, im on a bit of a budget and need to combine quality with value for money

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

The B6/B8 rears are uprated 30%, possibly more compared to the standard 1.1 dampers.

You shouldn't be bottoming out on the back at that height tbh. You will probably need to grind the lip off the inside of the arches though, to stop any rubbing.

what are group N's classed as over standard if b6/8 are 30%?

they are classed as extra stiff. Bilstein do not give out the details for the motorsport ones.

Thanks, so would the B6's be adequate for 40mm lowering?

for the rears yes, as its the same part number as the B8 rears, B36-2075 (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/citroen-saxo-bilstein-b6-dampers.html) (sad i can reel the part no's off the top of my head)

Gaz are good for the money, offer alot of adjustability can be serviced and each set they make are tested with a printout. They work well with higher lb torsion bars, despite being adjustable I wouldnt use them with standard bars. Id stick to your Bilstein choice.

They are front ones, covered less then 500 miles and used on my saxo (hill climb car) for 3 months max!(the few miles they covered was to and from the hill climb, short distances as im in Little sunny Malta as you might have realised :y: ) I changed them because i never stop spending......wanted coilovers so i got Gaz gold set! But these B8's are very good for performance enthusiasts, coilovers are too hard for everyday i guess! B8's are perfect for road use! These ones are like new....cost me £220, i am selling them for £170 postage included! Let me know if you are interested! I will try and photograph them, they are back in the original boxes!

Thanks
