I seem to notice massively varying costs for parts and labour on here. If the drivers side driveshaft was gone on a vtr (it's not got ABS if that makes a difference) and the wishbone needed doing too....both items replaced with brand new citroen parts, done by a mechanic...how much would you says right. About £400?

Lol good look getting genuine parts & labour at that price.

Gen wishbone is about £165, and a gen driveshaft about £160 (require old 1 back)

And labour would be about £85 for wishbone, and £80 for shaft.

So nearer £500.

Ah ok, thought I got fleeced. Nah they were genuine parts, stood in the garage and saw them get dropped off.

Phew :) Was looking on here and some threads from a couple of years back quoted drive shaft prices as low as £50 and half hour labour?! Seemed a bit odd that mine cost eight times that.

Non-gen driveshafts you can buy now for about £50-70 dependant. And labour times for fitting vary between 0.5 and 1.0. Which means basicaly half hour or an hour.

But those prices I gave you are dealer prices, today :y:
