I aspect this will get moved very shortly, but the Original HTC Desire was a solid phone with HD version being the newest bigger brother. Check out some reviews mate to find the phone for you. But nothing beats testing them out in person. So arm yourself up with Reviews and then go test a few models.

As for the network, it depends greatly on the area you live in (Reception / 3G coverage).
Ask your mates what network they are on and see if they had any trouble. Go for mates with smart phones because they will be the ones using 3G, Compared to your standard Brick phone.

Good Luck :y:

It will be the network, I suggest going onto the Orange network now they have merged with T Mobile to form M2M.

Beats every network hands down.

In thought orange and Tmob were called Everything Everywhere.

3 is hit and miss, all depends where you are ect.
Can you not get it and then cancel it if you are not happy?

HTC - Yes
Three - Just NO!! Their customer service is absolute shite, they're network coverage is absolute shite, not ONCE have i ever spoken to a person who is fluent in english from their customer service, despite the law they are insistant that there's every excuse under the sun as to why they won't let you cancel your contract at the end of it's term.
