FCS - Thanks from Simo (few pics)

I'd like to say a very BIG thankyou to ALL people who supported Saxperience at FCS 2006!

Year after year, the number of Saxos supporting Saxperience at the French Car Show doubles, which shows a huge growth rate!

This year was the first time FCS had been trialled as a 2-day event, and everyone I spoke to from Saxperience really did seem to be happy with the way things went!

The Saturday track session saw some great moments... both on and off the track! Everyone who took part will definately get back on the track again soon! Its THAT addictive! smileys/smiley14.gif

Unfortunately I managed to SHEAR my new drivers-side driveshaft whilst out at the end of our session... but not to worry! I managed to use over half a tank of petrol out on the track, so I still had some fun! smileys/smiley17.gif

The Saturday evening was eventful, as ever... but many of the track attendees were completely shattered. I hit the sheets at about 1am, which was a pretty poor effort based upon previous years smileys/smiley17.gif

Sunday morning was another early start and trying to get a large convoy to the show ground in one long line proved difficult smileys/smiley17.gif

Oz did a superb job of directing everyone into the right spot, to generate the chosen stand layout! Top job again Oz! smileys/smiley14.gif

The new flag and banner were top-notch and received some nice coments throughout the day!

In the afternoon, I was approached by 'Tony', one of the judges on the day who told me that Saxperience was in the running for 'best club stand' and that Andy (Certifiable) was in the running for 'best Citroen of the show'.

A group of us headed over to the judging tent at 3pm, where Andy managed to win 2nd best Citroen of the show and Saxperience managed to win 2nd best Car Club of the show!

A REALLY good result for Saxperience as I'm sure you will agree!</font>

Once again, thankyou to all that helped make this weekend such a success and an extra THANKYOU to Ant and Jackie for making the treck back to Bruntingthorpe with the trailer to take my poorly car home! smileys/smiley2.gif

as usual was a fantastic day & from the stories i heard about the track day i wish i'd at least watched if not taken part.

compared to a LOT of the other stands i think Saxperience definitely looked the best & was organised very well

74 cars & 2nd in Best Stand is fantastic, and i'm sure that it'll only get better

Was at the Hotel on the Friday night seen a few cars i reckonised off the site but didnt really speak to any one, i was a little shy.... spoke to Oz_Borne on the saturday morning nice to meet you mate smileys/smiley2.gif hope my mates in room 19 didnt keep you up with there bed wars lol .....really wished i'd booked the saturday night there now as the camp site wasnt the best ! ! !

WOW track time on the saturday was amazing .....went on track with my bog standard VTR (as i coulnt get it lowered in time cos the bars were seized solid) and had to fight it all morning around that track it was like a boat ,funny tho ! ! !

The show was real good 4th year going there now and it just seems to get better and better

Amazing weekend.

Some of my highlights:

Greenie and his non stop abuse of his 1.1 on the track.

Making Oz nervous with some massive under steer on the track.

Navigating Simo through the track...on boost.

Dom and his enternal fight with that £2 (yes £2 for those who didnt get it first time!) grabber machine.

Oz falling flat on his face and ripping the arse of his jeans.

Andys beaming smile when he won 2nd best citroen.

Simo's equally beaming face when Sax-p got 2nd best stand of the show.

And not to break tradition my unbeleivably beaming red face from being sunburnt for the 3rd year in a row at fcs.

Not forgetting those mental yorkshire lads and their mental antics at the swing park.

I didn't get home till after midnight but the long drive was well worth it. Had a really good weekend, it was good to catch up with everyone and meet some newer members.

I agree with Boz about the layout but the show was stil really good and our stand looked awesome (cheers to Oz for being the traffic warden smileys/smiley17.gif ).

had a great weekend second show i've been to with sax-p and it was brilliant again was good fun going out on the track with boz later on when it was wet chasing hessle proper brown pants moment when he spun it just infront of us on them bends

the show was ok the layout wasnt the best and people bombing up the middle to get to the 0-60 didnt help like but all the cars looked great on the stand and getting second place for best stand was good

was good meeting everyone and roll on trax will hopefully have mine out on track this time

sum of you maybe you noticed us northeast/yorkshire lot was talking on sat nigth about the weekend so far and it was sed that the feeling was that the ne/yorks lot made a great bond over the weekend and had build to a great and special area of sax-p to be apart of!!!
i can say i am praud to be part of the ne/yorks lot!!!

this bond will go on to be. and you all can count on a full north-east/yorkshire support of sax-p at trax a full turn-out!!!! i am sure!!!

Mate there is pure and simply no divide between us all, we are all there for one thing, cars.

human nature states that we have our own security boundaries and we like them. Personaly i lovemeeting new people and although the groupings appeared over the weekend i couldn't give a $hit about them and we're all there together.

I spoke to Yate$y on MSN for the first time, and although his humor is not my style, i tried to keep up ( smileys/smiley2.gif ). It's more people's reaction to the wit,sarcasm, humor that gets peoples in to trouble.
