salad and chicken is good for reducing fat/carbs (depending on how the chicken is prepared) coleslaw will probs be v high fat, mackeral in tom sauce is good in bulk training, bad for cuttting, the oils and fats are high, tin of mackeral in tom sauce is like 28g's fat iirc,
reduced carbs and fats, lots of water lots of cardio, = higfat burn, dont deprive your body though, thats the biggest mistake most make when dieting, deprive and youll store fat and are more likey to cave and pig out, which is even worse.....

go for wholegrain foods, fibre, protein through the day. cut out all sugar. drink loads of water/sugar free squash.
sit ups do shit all do core excersizes like the plank.
run ALOT, if you dont like running then SWIM. basically do over 40 minutes of cv work as your body fat only starts to burn after working for 40 minutes dont do any more than an hour and do at least 3 times a week. let your body rest dont get injured and if you take fat stripers use them when working ot otherwise there just useless. your diets most important. its 80% of the battle mate.
good luck.

Diet should be about 70% protein and 30% fats with 50g or less of carbs a day. Any carbs you do take in should be from fruit, and they should be in the morning or post workout only.
Stay away from dairy as dairy is high in sugar (natural cheeses are ok as they are high in fats.)
Also on the banned list are fruit juices, breads, pasta, rice, cereals. basically anything that didnt come from an animal or come straight from the ground is banned.
So if you are eating say, 2000cals a day to get your weight down, 500-600cals should come from fats. So stuff like nuts, olive oil, animal fats in meat and fish are what you need to take in. You cant loose optimal body fat without ingesting plenty of dietary fats. Fat does NOT make you fat, it is a common myth and one of the reason we have an obesity epidemic. Its these 'whole grains' manufacturers push that do it. Humans cannot digest grains properly so we get fat when we eat them. To loose weight we need to eat our ancestors diet. So meat, fish, nuts, veg, fruit and berries were our diet, and this should remain the same today too.
You want to aim for 4 meals a day, 500 cals per meal. So breakfast could be eggs and bacon with a piece of fruit. 2 meat salads in the day with your choice of fish or meat and a few mixed nuts to go afterwards. Then a meat and steamed veg evening meal. If you get a sweet tooth, get some diet coke or some other calorie zero fizzy drink as this will quell your cravings without adding calories.
Exercise wise, Stay away from distance running, it sends you catabolic and promotes fat storage. You should be doing bodyweight circuits. So type bodyweight circuits in youtube for a few examples. But push up variations, pull ups, dips, squat jumps, slams, planks, burpees, squat thrusts etc are all on the to do list. Situps, crunches are extremely bad for lower back so dont do them. No exercise professional in their right mind would put them in a programme nowadays.
If you must run, keep runs about 20 mins, and do intervals of sprinting and jogging. but running will never take place of resistance training for fitness or fat loss.
