Hey Peeps,

I brought my x reg vtr couple of months back afta havin my fiesta wrote off as some silly cow pulled out and cut accross my lane :( so managed find my vtr on ebay for £680. The guy i brought it off advised me that he had recently changed the clutch, and had had the rear axel changed.

After a couple of weeks of driving noticed a whine, with a little help from people on here and after taking it to a garage it was the clutch and gearbox that both needed replacing. so over the xmas period the bf has been fitting them for me.

Right so more about the car...
it has been lowered btween 40-60mm but sits wonky on 1 side which is driving me mad but not had it sorted, and has a magnex back box.

Since having it the only thing i have done is sprayed my badges pink ...

i think you need to get the back box moved so it sits right in the bumper :P
and also some new plates

Nice VTR :) the exhaust is probably due to a worn rubber hanger, don't cost much and are a simple fix :y:

Looks nice, now you've done the rear badges i'd carry on with the pink theme, maybe chevrons, mirror caps etc?

Black cars carry off bright colours alot better. As long as you do it all the same pink it shouldnt look tacky :y:

well it easy to find lol, halford's fluorescent pink. but i was thinking if i did to much then it would. so am just goin easy on it. am thinking of puttin pink on my wheels to but dont want them just pink as it is a bright colour lol have got an idea but want to see it photoshopped first. x

Yeah the whole wheel might look OTT, maybe try pink rim tape first

Yeah thanks will look into that, well wanting my wheels black aswel so that will be first thing to be done.

Just go for pink rim tape, and some new hangers for backbox and should sit better.

well the grill will be getting done and trying get hold of black side badges with vtr in pink, and then Trackday Addict suggest the mirror caps which i hadnt thought of doing. got quite few bits i am wanting to do. :)

i think all black with tiny tiny pink bits would look lush
so black badges at the back with a pink edge around them, things like that, :y:
tiny little bits of pink or i think itll be tacky

Hehe thats the second idea. Getting a photoshop of the wheels done black with a pink spiral done atm so seeing how it looks, if not will be going black with pink rim tape x

They should be cliped in on vtr mirriors, so gently prise them off.

Have just taken out roof liner to be covered, managed to get it inside before the rain chucked it down lol.... just means the mirror caps and cheverons will have to wait a bit :( xx

Last weekend I attempted to recover the headlining, as not liking the grey lol.

Couldn't find any black suede, so just picked up some plain black material, looked through some posts on here where people had done it and seemed easy.

So took the scissors to the material. Sprayed the glue and stuck it down. Found a few creases, so pulled it off and tried again, and again. :rage: started to get fed up so sort of left some creases in. when sticking the overlaying material to the back it did tear in a couple of places. So just put it back up for now.

It has been dark in the car whenever in it atm so it cant annoy me lol. Will get pics 2moz as the boyf got the car in daylight. Will be doing this again at some point but really think someone should do a how to guide, Please.

Oh and my saxp stickers have now arrived so they should hopefully be going on tomoz to. :y: xx

Grill is now off, and chevrons will be getting sprayed pink, and just thinking of ideas of where to put saxp stickers... :ponder:

Just be careful with using too much pink, bright colours do look good on black cars, but keep it in small details. Too much does tend to look tacky, i'd say rim tape has been done to death but thats me lol. Like where your going with the roof lining, should look good.

You could do them black with a pink stripe on the lines of the spoke, like the indented bit, if that makes sense

Ok... Little Update

Have taken Cheverons off... Tried the mirror caps put they don't just pop off :S thinking they might be a pattern part.

I have also had a Magnex full system fitted today as my old centre section was blowing. I did have the back box before but as i managed to get the whole system for £80 thought was a good idea.

Was good fun trying to have it fitted today though.... I picked it up this morining and took to a garage, they then rang back saying it wouldn't fit (bearing in mind, when i picked it up. it had just been taken off a saxo) they obviously didnt see the front section in the footwell even though i did say it was there. So took to another garage, and they did the same but made a custom pipe to make it fit... when i turned up i asked for my old back box to sell on... and then Mechanic says 'oooh theres that missing pipe' :panic:

Have finally given the car a clean that it's been needing for a while but I seem to be jinxed and whenever I go to do it, it starts to rain lol.
