Simple and quick question :)

Hi guys. Quick question, i know i have posted about my problem before but i have an update.

Basically my car temp light and fan will not turn off. My mechanic removed the relay switch and the fan went off, so he determined that the problem is the fan relay switch.

Im not convinced myself because i thought it would stop the fan simply because your removing the connection, surely?

Another thing is i had replaced this switch from the scrappy and there was no difference. Someone put my mind at rest....

you answered your own question....

its the fan switch thats fauulty - dont buy a second hand one (ask yourself why was the car in the scrappers in the first place?)

£14 maximum for a new fan switch. 10 min job to fit.

the relay could be faulty as it may be stuck..If you want to prove its the relay for peace of mind youll need to test it with a multimeter. it wont be difficult and will give you the answer your looking for. its more likely to be a component than wiring problems.
