Surely you only need to tape around the edges and not the whole window?

looks okay mate, someones gonna get a nice 206 by the looks of it.

With the amount of wetsanding and machine polishing that is going to be done on this car, the windows need to be fully tapped off... :)

Is it me.... or in one pic where your polishing the front wing is the backing plate bigger than the polishing pad??

It may just be me.....not slept much this year.

??????? Im sorry but why, as long as the edges and creases have been covered then it wont make a bit of difference mate surely? just trying to save you some money on tape lol.

No you are correct mate, the backing pad is bigger on that one shot, with the mad curves on that wing i needed to use the smaller pad.... but with that backing pad it is perfectly fine to use.. just got to be careful not to catch the backing plate on the body work.....

Could someone tell me who the best Moderator is to contact in order to advertise this competition.... as this car will be givin away at FCS 2011

Why are you then correcting it with a DA if you are going to wetsand it ?

Also do you have a Lottery operating licence for this raffle as technically this is for private gain and to make profiit ? and if so can you provide details of this licence ?

Another comment made about the backing plate being too big, i might be confused, but is that common practice ?

are you able to post up which dates have been taken, so we can choose a date ? (with the limited time for the details to be carried out)

and finally, how far are you willing to travel to carry out a detail or would we need to come to you ?

Thanks

Rob

1) This is purely just a little bit of fun, and no i don’t have a lottery license. If i have to sell the car for a Penny at the end i am sure the winner will pay 1p to take the car away. If this by-passes the need for a license... And please please don't go on about how u technically need a license to do a competition..... Technically you need to be a police man with blues and twos on to go over the speed limit, but does that mean you haven't ever gone over the limit????... i think not..

I am not having a dig at you mate lol, cos technically yes you do need all that, but this competition will make someone very happy. And i think in these tough economic times it is a brilliant idea because it is just win win win for everybody. You will get your car professionally detailed and also a very good chance to win a fantastic car.

Please ask me how often opportunities like this come up from other companies?? Never because they just like taking ALLLLL the profits, i am simply trying to give something back for a change. So please don't try and put downers on it for everybody.

2) All cars must be dropped off at Purity Detailing, which is in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Link to competition : -

Please PM me or call 07515 679615 for any info ppl :)

3) Dates for comp are from 10/01/2011 till 01/05/2011

4) I should of changed the backing plate also, but as I was only messing about with the polishing, I didn’t see the need.

And seriously I aint having a go at you fela, just that on every single forum I have posted on, certain individuals just keep trying to jeopardise it, but the majority of people on the forums would love to see the competition go ahead. So all the MODS are letting it run as they love the idea.

I hope this answers all your questions mate.
