Looks like a complete freak. Had to laugh at the news today they said he could have really hurt someone, would have thought been hit on the head by a fire extinguisher from 11 floors up would do alot more than hurt someone

Yes, im going to protest and be a wanker, so i can get an education and do wellz for myself in lyfe!
Or not mate, you will get raped by big black men in the shower! Mofo!

I remember seeing everyone with the fire extingishers at the protest and saying its rediculous as if one fell it could end really bad. Next thing you know i see one fly over, literally cringed, expecting to hear a scream or something, thank fuck i didnt!
Still hes fucked his life now because of what hes done, lesson learnt tbh.

Just thought if he is pleading to be a good boy, he could be granted to do the course when he is locked up, so he will get the course for free...
But if he is released after 18 months for good behaviour, he will have to pay the fees lol.
Either way, he lives in a 275k house! So his family is ovviously not short of cash!
Atleast now he can suffer.

Little hippy prick got what's coming to him, I don't have a personal problem with him obviously having never met him, I would feel the same if anyone did it, it just happened to be him, but if 100 people did the same thing I would feel the same way and hope they all got sentenced like this.
Inexcusable idiocy. Done the protests no good, he hasn't got what he wanted and was protesting for, hasn't gained and ground for their campaign or argument and is fucked for life.
Nice one.
LittleDude101
11th January 2011, 19:36
not fussed if he gets the course - would be quality in a job interview
"I see here you have a charge and prison sentence for violent disorder"
"yeah... i launched a fire extinguisher at the police at a protest"

Tonto, aren't you in your early 20's? How the fuck did you afford a 170k house? And you told the other guy not to brag :|
As for that dude, I think his sentence was a bit harsh, people get away with ACTUALLY hurting people or get off much lighter... All well and good saying he could have killed someone, but you can kill someone by punching them too, and that doesn't get you 2+ years in young offenders/prison more often than not.
EDIT: He must have been a pretty bad shot not to hit someone if he was trying to do so, not like there was a shortage of targets...

House prices, I don't know, I was more curious as to how Tonto managed to spend 170k on a house, so I can replicate whatever he did and get myself 170k!

End of the day, he did something very stupid, probably got caught up in the "moment" if you like. Very lucky nobody is dead, but the fact is nobody is dead, nobody is even hurt, and much worse happens every day, and people actually stab and hit each other and get lesser sentences or not get caught at all. At least this kid turned himself in in the end, shows a hell of a lot more decency than a lot of people.

I heard he'll spend the majority of his sentence in a Youth detention centre or similar. Somehow doubt he'll fit in well there, especially with all the publicity.
What must of been going through his head before and after. He had NO idea where that Extinguisher would of landed! Nor was it a controlled throw!

Looked like a pretty controlled throw to me, or as controlled as you can get for chucking a fire extinguisher from 7 storeys high... it's not as if he just lobbed it from over his head blindly, he did look and did do it underarm lol, not saying it justifies it but I think me and you must have watched different videos :\
To everyone saying he is getting off lightly though, if he's getting off lightly then a hell of a lot of the sentences handed out for other crimes are a joke compared to what he's done. I reckon compared to some other sentences, this guy is getting a pretty raw deal. Nobody is actually hurt :|

Unfortunately Dave, They way I heard it was that the Police were piling up with Evidence incriminating him.
I suspect a family lawyer (Or public lawyer) strongly advised him to "turn himself in"
So even that really was a play for the courts in saving his own skin. Rather than doing the right thing :n:

Hmm, that article said his mother was pressuring him in to it, so I guess that detracts from it yeah.
That's right, they are.
Aye, but what can ya do? Depends on which way you look at it really... I always thought John and Anne Darwin's sentences were pretty strict in view of their crimes. In all honesty, this kid is probably full of regret and remorse for what he's done, or I should hope he is. Unfortunately it can't be taken in to account. If this was some jumped up chav who was boasting about it and full of himself, then yeah a strict sentence is probably necessary if pointless. This sentence isn't going to do much to this kid other than put him in danger for 2 years (probably less I know) and damage his life in a bad bad way.
My mate said to me once, everyone is just one really bad choice away from absolute disaster... I think he was right. He punched a pakistani taxi driver after arguing with him, and the taxi driver pulled out a crowbar (EDIT: He punched him after he saw him pull out the crow bar, the order it went in was Arguemnt > Crow bar pulled > punch thrown). He got his face smashed in, but hurt the taxi driver as well. He was arrested on racially aggravated assault, and had it not been for police already being at the scene and basically seeing it, things could have gone a lot worse for him... All because of a stupid decision when drunk. I don't know, people make bad decisions... I'll stop rambling now.

That pisses me off. Why is it racial?
Its not as tho he went up to him because of who he is and started, im sure theyre was a point to the arguement?... Did the taxi driver get anything? after smashing his face in with a crowbar?

His licence removed, other than that my mate doesn't know what happened.
Basically the full story is that they got in this taxi, and the taxi driver was demanding a ridiculous amount of money up front, and my mate was saying "no put it on the metre" and the taxi driver was getting pissed off. My mate then apparently said "this is why some people don't like some paki's" (which is wrong, I know, and I don't condone). Now, the taxi driver has to put it on a metre, and I've had this before where taxi drivers ask for shit loads up front. I know why they do it, but it's wrong. What my mate said was wrong (for the record, he isn't racist, he doesn't like racist people) but it wasn't directly racist. I think he got lucky, and his bad decision was as simple as not just getting out of the taxi and finding another one.
Nothing happened to my friend btw, think he got a warning but the police sided with him basically.

Tbh, i know taxi-driving can be a dangerous job but is there really a need for a crowbar to be involved when your mate only has his fists?
Why would they want money up front? to stop people gettin out and running? locks do that.
I agree tho, with the whole one bad decision can change a life.

Yeah, cos of people taxi jumping. Biggest joke is that my mate TRIED to run after he hit him, and got chased by one of the taxi drivers mates, who had a weighted snooker cue! He was arrested as well. It's a joke, a lot of the drivers are known for carrying weapons up here, another one of my mates was wrapped in the leg with an iron bar although he eventually got away. It's all a firm called Boro Taxi's, the police told my mate they come across it really often with their drivers. Massive firm as well, one of the biggest in Europe I believe :|
Thing that annoys me is that the punch wasn't thrown for racially motivated reasons, it was because the guy was gonna hit him with a crowbar...

Glad the police didnt take any further action on your mate then.
Tbh, i think your police need to step up their game with stopping that, as they seem to know about it but are willing to let it carry on... then when something does kick off, the police take the drivers favour.. seems unfair.
If it was a racial attack i can understand but doing it in self defence is reasonable.
Stories like this are what makes my sister not go in taxi's alone lol, well and the fact we had a dickhead one when we was little.

Nah they don't take the drivers side, but what can they do? Pull over 600+ taxi's? It's one of those things that they more have to react to than can prevent, realistically. Gotta leave an individual with some responsibility, i.e. I think you have to trust the drivers to be responsible about it and not carry a weapon, and protect themselves in different ways like getting a cage fit or something.

He didn't directly insult him like, just said this is why people don't like them... Yeah he got away with it, his word against my mates. My mate is a bit of a tit when he's had a drink, like I say, he should have just walked away but didn't. My mate didn't really lose his temper, was just saying that technically it should be on the metre and the taxi driver got pissed off telling them to get out and stuff, then pulled the crowbar after he said what he said.

Agree, think the sentence is a bit harsh given this;
people get away with ACTUALLY hurting people or get off much lighter... All well and good saying he could have killed someone,
And sentencing is not harsh enough for these individuals;
but you can kill someone by punching them too, and that doesn't get you 2+ years in young offenders/prison more often than not.

Good point. He thrown a fire extinguisher probably once in his life, while the biker was probably doing his antics on a daily basis.
I have seen a lot of cases where some people doing way worse got off lighter, or even getting their 1824th asbo. I think that kid is a scapegoat, even if what he did was beyond stupid.
