so my contract with orange has finished and there offering me shocking deals.

Decided i wanted a blackberry and wanted a bold, but after hearing about the blackberry storm 2 ( upgrade from the bold) i decided to get that and here is what i'm getting.

25 quid a month

-500 mins
-unlimited texts
- unlimited internet and bbm
-24 month contract (slight downfall)
-free phone on the contract (400 quid in the shops on pay as you go)
can also swap it for a bold in the first 2 weeks if i dont like the storm 2 :)

very impressed to say the least, quick, easy going. :)

will be staying with these from now on, fuck orange and there SHIT signal.

im not
my internet hasnt been working and i couldnt work out why
went on the live chat with an advisor earlier and she told me it wasnt set up and even though my simplicty is £5 a month and my bolt on is £5 a month i have to leave 50p credit for them to work, so i actually have to top up £15 a month instead of then i was told in the shop FFS

Sorry for the double post.

Nicole have you tried topping up over phone(assuming you do it in a shop atm), as when i used to be on pay as you go you could top up in full pounds. So you could top up 11, instead of 15.

o2 are a good network but their data network is the most oversubscribed - you get very slow internet on o2.

They used to be the best for coverage but with the orange/tmob deal they now have best 3g coverage and are likely to do for years to come, and eventually 4g which is due some time this year i think

Was with O2 but they wern't interested in matching the deal vodafone were offering. I think the internet with vodafone is a lot better/faster with vodafone as well

+1 every time i have a replacement handset it is there the very next day and you get to choose from 3 time slots. and you get to talk to some fit sounding bird on the other end of the phone who always seems to be able to give you more mins or give you the free bb package. 12 years with orange now i wouldn't change them.

O2 have the worst 3G coverage in the country, so unless your lucky you will have slow Internet, so your unlimited internet will not be worth a wank.
if you got 3G then happy days, though I would imagine you could get a similar deal elsewhere

I rarely use O2 3G
I can almost always pick up BT Openzone or other Wifi spots when Im out and about.
In fact on my iPhone I turn 3G off unless I need it and turn wifi on when I need to use the internet. If I can find a hotspot in Cornwall 70% of the time, it must be alot better for you guys further up the line surely?
Of course in rural area's I switch on 3G and can normally pick up some data signal - 3G /Edge/ GPRS /GSM .

its only certain spots around here thats shite (more rural areas, especially near my house)

but i use the wifi 99% of the time anyway. only have the data turned on for maps :homme:

ive had the blackberry bold 1 day, and the next i asked to try out the storm, as most of you said the bold was better.

My review is the storm 2 is quicker, more responsive, general all round better phone. The touch screen is slightly diffiuclt to get used to, but so is everything thats new that you have!
