does anyone know any really good sites for insurance?
im 19 in a few days and will be 2 years past no claims,
i priced up insurance for a vts...£3000 =O!!
so ive opted for the idea of sticking a vts engine in my vtr however the cheapest quote i could get then was £9000!
these were on compare the market.com so quinn and performance direct were included!
anyone know any good performance sites?
cheers josh =]

As above Admiral, Adrian flux and endsliegh always come out the cheapest for me.
I'm 19, nearly driving for 2 years..Still paying £2200+ for a 1.1 saxo.
Previously payed £1600 on a Mk4 Golf 1.9..
These past 12 months insurance has just gone nuts. £3k probably sounds about right tbh.

your a 19 year old trying to insure or hot hatch that hundreds of young lads have crashed, what do you expect.
also, your using comparison websites, stop being so lazy and go directly to insurance companys them selves

im 21 with 1ncb and im looking at 1200 for a 1.1 lol.
young drivers really are being bullied out of driving whatsoever which is a fucking disgrace not only on the country but on the economy !!!
in all fairness though a VTS is going to be quite high whatever age never mind 19 y/o
cant wait till i can afford to insure one lol.

Couldnt agree with this more :y:
I dont think anyone under 20 should be allowed to insure a VTS and I guess by the prices you are getting, neither do insurance companies.
By giving you quotes of 9k plus, its because they dont want to insure you so are trying to price you out
Even a VTR at 19 is going to cost, I would aim a little lower if I were you mate.......

Yeah but Im guessing you dont live at the same address as the OP.....and have the same job......and passed your test on the same day.....and have the exact same other details as the OP......
You see where I am going with this..
Just because you pay £2200 doesnt mean the OP will get that price

im 22, 2 years NCB, 2 crashes in first year, 3 points, been driving since NOV2007 and its a little over a grand for me to insure a VTR. chances are, had i not had the crashes (the points did little to the premium) i would be able to insure a vts for pennies.
i also, however, wouldn't have a saxo lol
