problem with my 1.1, weird, but i am confused

basically i have a saxo 1.1 spi (single point injection)

when i put my foot down its fine, but when i come to a junction or traffic lights the car ticks over very low, almost likes it going to cut out but doesnt

right, heres the weird bit, if i put my foot under the accelerater pedal and lift it up, it ticks over perfectly,

i first thought thottle sensor, but i dont have one on my model,

Its the icv, or similar as it has a different name on the 1.1 iirc. Mine used to do this!

idle control valve (ICV)

I had this problem with my old 1.1, it was the idle control valve. I bought a new one for about 30 quid off ebay.
