Battery light constantly on VT

About a month ago I had the power steering, clicking relay, heater problem.
That has now gone but the battery light is now constantly on. I searched this
forum and thought it was alternator/battery problems, but I checked the
voltage of the battery and it was perfect. Also I have driven about 500 miles
over the weekend and I would think that if the alternator/battery had of
gone then I wouldn't have been able to get this far.

The other thing the car has developed is a constant

Can anybody through any light on this.

i just installed my new stereo and had this problem, if youve got an after market stereo ie not original you need to buy a citreon iso cable and once connected, disconnect the yellow wire which should have BATTERY(constant)written on it. then problem solved.

what sort of price would a iso cable be and would it be easy to fit>??????

ISO cables u can get from any half decent motor store and range from £5-15. they are easy to fit.
all you do is plug the leads that are in the car into the two pin blocks(normally two!)is with a saxo) and plug the single block into the stereo. as above with mine i had battery light on after i did this so i disconnected the yellow battery constant wire. there are 2 yellow battery wires on mine so make sure u get the rite one or you'll have same prob.
i have one prob still tho that when i switch the ignition off my stereo stays on!?!? but i always take my face plate off so it doesnt bother me altho i would like to know how to solve this myself lmbo. hope this helps mate

Is the light on all the time whilst driving?.... if it is and you have no dis-charge (no coments please!) it sounds like the alternator warning light wire has disconnected from the alt or is broken.... either that or the above stereo related business
