Basicully ive been looking at these for a while so i can snow foam my car (which will be my next question :D ) in particular a Karacher* saw one in the sun today for 89.99 redueced from 109.99 with three atachements?
Would this be good enough or is there different levels ie power and how much water they kick out? i dont want to spend a fortune but dont want to be left with somthing not man enough for the job??
Thanks in advance!

Karscher IMO are wank.
Get one of these instead.....2 year warranty ftw.
If the attachments are important to you then this,

If they arent important and its for car washing and that kind of stuff you dont need anything better than this (i have one, had it 2 years now and its still working really well)

I've got a karcher at the moment but that's not through choice, yet it is fucked just waiting for it to break. The next PW will be a nilfsik due to the warranty and price

Basicully its only for washing my car and im a complete noob
ill be going onto detailing world once i have one to look up snow foams, they sound a great idea espially if the cars realy grubby like over this winter for example.
Never seen that make before but if its as good as you guys reakon and only being £87 il get one.
Ive seen before on clean my car when you buy snow foam stuff you need certain ends for it to clip onto is this one a good one for that? Looks more powerful too from the specs i remember from the sun!

Honestly......you dont need the more expensive machine, for cleaning cars etc etc you dont need a really powerful machine as it can damage seals.

Sorry to steal the thread, I have a small cheap pressure washer but it's a brand I haven't heard of before. Is there any way I could get a snow foam lance to fit it? I'll find the brand tomorrow when I go into the shed, but I have just been on CYC and the brands for fitments for the foam lance aren't the same as my pressure washer :(

Ok its 95% true.
But seriosuly i wouldnt want to be ordering lances, finding they dont fit and then having to pay return shipping costs.

Right as an update to this i bought a nilifisk 110 which came with a little bottle adaptor that im 99% sure is for foaming?
Is that little bottle the one for foaming for a start
Few questions though, can i use any shampoo for foaming or does it need to be a certain type?
saxovtsmad
10th July 2011, 10:07
that bottle wont give you foam like the foam lance's of cyc but you can use it with proper snow foam

Shame your grammar isn't up to the standard of your pressure washer.
You Don't Need To Put A Capital At The Start Of Every Word.
I do wonder if people actually went to school?
Sorry for going off topic :)

I have a shitty sealy 2300Psi pressure washer.
Had it 5 or 6 years. Its gradually getting weaker and weaker. Now the mains pressure hose is more powerful then this. I threw it against the wall (In a rage i get with things not working). Dad came out and gave me a mouthful for being a twat.
He took the lance off, so the water shoots straight from the pressure washer, and FUCK, its powerful. Turns out the house going to the lance has collapsed.
I#ll buy a new hose and lance (One that will fit's a snow foam adaptor.)
How does snow foam exactly work? Spray it on, rinse off = Clean car?
Or do you need to use a wash mitt and scrub with the foam?
Do you use snow foam weekly? Or is it once in a blue moon when you want a uber clean car?
Cheers

snow foam is not a crucial step but it's a fun one & it loosens up the dirt.
basically snow foam on... personally I do it on a dry car but some people rinse the car first.
Leave it dwell for 5 mins or so, rinse off.
Possibly repeat
wash as normal.
it won't make the car ANY cleaner than not doing it, it may just speed up the progress or make cleaning the car a bit easier as the dirt is looser.
