I found a saxo vtr for £300 its got 130,000miles on. Not tax and the mot has just run out. Ive been to see it the body work looks fine. Been lowerd all round. He said it has a high lift cam in. Drove it and it feels fine to drive and it quick. The bad parts are the electrics look like somone has been at them and the rockercover bolt head is snaped off :n: What do people think i should do?

£300 sounds a bargain for a VTR. Just make sure he has some history on it as without tax and now no MOT anything could have gone wrong with it, hense the cheap sale. I would inspect it one more time with someone who knows about cars also and have a proper look in and out the car, if all is good then go for it, you could break it for parts around that price if all goes wrong anyway lol

Do the standard car checks
If it drives ok and sounds ok the £300 is still only a small risk to take
If you got to put it through an MOT and its fubared then you would probably get more than £350 back if you stripped it and sold the parts

Any recipept for the cam?
