Never pick up an xbox or move it in ANY way when your disk is spinning!

I basically got home and noticed my xbox was gone, i stalked the house and realised my brother had taken it, without remorse i went in and ripped all the cables out and took it into my room.. by the time i got there i realised the infamous xbox drive disk converter had converted my black ops from mint to scratched.

Online mode is tempermental at best..

I wouldnt be that devved if it wasnt for the fact it costed me £44.99 to buy the bleeding game..

Has anyone got any ideas how to remove the scratch, i tried the toothpaste trick and it helped a fair bit but i want it back to mint..

I hear some places fix them so i may do that...

borrow a freinds copy if you can and install it to harddrive, then you will only need your game to start it, it then reads the rest of information from the Harddrive so it doesnt matter about the scratches

Lol o dear....

Maybe go blockbusters and get them to do the disc clean thing on it, i think it's a couple of quid!

Unfortunate... however this is common knowledge with all xboxs since day one.

Best advice there is to install it and most likely will work fine, just be fortunate that theres no damage to the components themselves.... that would man more dolla!

i thought that the big bunch of the cost of a game is the license/copyright etc?

and with proof of having bought the license you can get a new copy of the disk from the publisher for a fraction of the price?

I have never had to do this but I'm sure a number of people have?

Worth dropping them an email or googling?

Go blockbusters and rent black ops, get home swap the blockbuster disk for your scratched one and then take it back and tell them it was scratched when you got it home!

I did this with mw2 that my brother scratched lol

wtf, dont the disks that blockbusters etc give you not have the proper printing on?

I remember renting DVD's ages ago and they were always white.

my mate ringed his Mw2 n blockbuster repaired it for a few quid, cheeper then renting it ;)
