big Mr C! has announced that he wants to cut Fuel Duty tax!
surely this is win for all of us?

Below is an example of the wholesale costs and what the Government is adding in Fuel duty and tax.
(These prices can vary everyday)

Cost per litre of crude oil extraction: 8p
Cost per litre of refining: 2p
Cost per litre to transport to UK: 2p
Cost per litre to transport to pumps: 5p

The increase in fuel duty put 0.76p on the price of a litre of petrol on New Year’s Day. This was followed by the VAT rise which added a further 2.5p per litre. so TAX on fuel is 78.5p! P/L!

motorists are paying, almost £10 Million MORE each day on fuel, than this time last year. now thats alot of money, when you think of it as a hole! EACH DAY!

another petition to make it under £1 a litre.

http://www.petitiononline.co.uk/petition/reduce-petrol-tax/637

everyone is going on about it, and sure soon enough it will drive everyone mad! but we can only try.

I remember finding out that the actual cost of fuel Is exactly as you've just posted, majourly just tax! Even half that tax will take prices right down under £1 again! Rediculous.

I think you'll find £10 is always gonna be £10 and 8 Litres is always going to be 8 Litres.
They're both something.

Like I have said on a few threads, we all want cheaper petrol (including me) but the realism is that the Government have increased prices in order to try and cut the budget defecit.

I don't want an arguement about why were are in debt blah blah and who's fault it is because I know why and I know who is to blame

The way they probably look at it is....'What can we increase the price of that will provide the highest garuanteed income stream?'
Well petrol obviously as millions of people but it each day

If they decrease the price of fuel, they will simply increase the price of something else that most people use in order to recoup the money elsewhere

Its a losing battle which we simply have to accept

People can bang on and on about riots and protests and the like but at the end of the day, they will get the money out of us one way or the other.
I work for Government, they are all backstabbing fuckers who would sell thier grandmother for a promotion and a better salary!

Everyone will lose out one way or the other, get behind it
