Jet Black Furio (NEW PICS PAGE 4)

Hi guys this is my first post on here so not sure what to say

so i think i will start off with my saxo

its a 2001 black saxo furio thats covered 56000 miles, it was fairly standard when i bought it for a bargin back in september since then ive added a few things now and again when ive had the spare cash, when i bought it it already had fox R1 rims a vts interior and lexus rear lights.

After having it a while i decided to change a few things firts off was to buy a new gear knob as the old one was rubish and a sub and amp so first place i thought of was halfords, such a bad i dear now i know why people call it halfrauds there useless, then went to work and got a kenwood stereo but al in all a pretty decent buy.

i know what you mean about the light but i quite like the rims thinking of getting them like a gun metal gray with a red rim round

Again after a few months i decided to tint my windows, i had no problems with the side windows but i found it very difficult to do the rear so in the end i gave up, they lokk ok but if you go very close up they look pretty bad, also i put a matt black sun strip on my windscreen

next job was to colour code my headlights and badge so went out and got my self some primer and matt black sprays and set a bout doing them, was fairly easy thanks to a few walk throughs on here,

yea i really like the smoked jewels think when nex pay day comes will lokk at getting some ive seen a few black saxos on here with them and they look pretty good :)

want to set about doing a cheap mod today but cant think of what to do think im going to start by giving it a clean its filthy

also want to look into lowering its at standard hight at the moment how low to go is around 45mm - 50mm ok

Lights look good :) like I said smoked jewels ftw :) yea man a few mates of mine have got the apex kit which lowers 50mm n do 50mm on back I think it will sit nice :)

Very nice saxo,a set of 106gti leathers in there would look the biz.Is it me or is the lower part of your front bumper got stone chips on it?Oh & the leathers in your car with a red carpet would look ace.

Hey cheers for the compliments. Yea the bumper is not the original and was sprayed black but the previous owner went over a high curb and scratch the bottom and cracked it hence the big chunk missing :/ want to get it sorted and get it mint for this summer. But deffo liking the idea of a red carpet and maybe the gti leathers but I love the comfort of the vts seats :)

decided this pay day im going to tidy the engine bay up, polish the manifold heat guard and spray the rocker cover either matt red or matt black any sugestion

also if i take the rocker cover off caan i just put it streight back on, are there any guides? cheers :)

great went to the garage to see what was up with the suspension and found out that both my wishbones have gone :/ they quoted £180 not happy at all :(

Well quite abuts happened since last time I posted. First a double decker bus hit me so cars currently in a body shop was gutted when it happen. And just bought some 50mm apex springs for the front can't wait to get them. Still on the look out for a red rally carpet willing to pay 100 if Anyones selling or knows of someone selling. And also had to replace drop links as mine were well and truly busted.

car came out the body shop today after the bus incident and looks amazing got the front bumper colour coded like before and also got the back colout coded at the same time, really please with it will take some pictures when the weather is a little better :)

got the car back 3 days ago from the body shop really impressed with the work thats been done, got mr front and rear bumpers colour coded black and also got some nice mk1 standard lights took some pics will giv the car a clean and take more tomorrow. also still on the look out for a red rallye carpet

debating weather or not to get some team dynamic 1.2 in back whats everyones view

personally I'd say go for them in white or silver. too much black doesn't look right IMO

Also go for something with a perhaps chrome lip to break it up else it'll look like you're rolling on steelies :P

Well I don't think it's lowered it's self I just seems to sit better since I put 195/50s on it and look lower when its prob not. And I like the alloys I know there cheap rubbish but they've grown on me. But cheers for feed back :)

Smoked jewels look sweet, Also the Dimma grille (like mine) IMO look sweet.

As for the wheels perhaps some TD Monza R's would suit, Or OZ Super T's, or finally some TD Pro Race 1.2's :)

just had a look, really like it, before i had my saxo i had a milano red EG which i had to get rid of because i bought it ar repareable but turend out to be a complete write off

after driving a cammed vtr last night going to do my car up

* cammed vtr engine, going for vtr due to insurance, as much i as i want a vts its just not possible at the moment

* full spax ajustable kit 40mm also dropping the rear end to 40mm as well

* getting a new beam with disks

* poly bushes all round

* new wishbones

* groved front disks with new pads

* omp or momo millenium wheel

* 4 new toyo tr1 tyres

anyone got any sugestions please feel free to let me know as you guys got more knowlege than me

just buy a vtr mate easier its not the case of putting an engine in. nice little furio you got with a few lil engine mods these lil cars are nippy

its been a while since ive done anything to the car but after getting my but into gear i decided to fit my spax adjustable shocks and springs and also go and get some td 1.2 wrapped with toyo t1r's, biggish investment that i couldnt really afford but its deffo worth it, i also remove the crappy stickers that i thought would be a good idea that really werent, anyways thais is how it looks now

lower the back 40mm
it currently has a mk 2 vts interior which will be changed to a mk 1 vts interior

just got hold of a faded pastel yellow saxo yesterday in two minds what to do with it got two ideas

number one use this as a base shell and put all my black saxo parts on it eg suspention wheels and get hold of a mk 1 front end and rattle can it matte white

or just simply break it for parts

ideas would be a massive help :)

I nearly had my old Saxo back a few times (although not sure where its ended up now :(), and in ways even though i miss it, i'm glad i didn't buy it back because things are never the same 2nd time around...

Spruce it up, good old Buff and some T-Cut then some Auto Glym polish and it'll come up a treat.. Put all your mods off the black one on to the yellow one and it'll look swweeet!

so i recently got my saxo back, and ive now sold my civic i decided that parts from the yellow vtr will go on my black furio

as ive never done a engine conversion before i decided to take my time as i didnt want to mess anything up, so last weekend i set about taking the engine out of my black furio

as me and my friend were taking the engine out, my amazingly patient girlfriend sticker bombed my front bumper where the guy that had it before me scratched the splitter

i have now set about taking the engine out of the yellow vtr as i plan to strip the engine and put new rings, de-glaze the chambers, get a new gasket set and timing belt water pump etc, port and polish the head and put a fast road cam in over the space of a year.

took the engine out of the yellow vtr today and completly stripped the engine to a bare block to start again with new parts

only thing is does any one know where to get piston rings for a vtr
