Alright people,
A quick question, Ive heard rumors that you have to do some further mods in order to lower the car 60mm. Something like moving the power steering pump or something.
Im down 40mm now on a Phase 1 VTR, but would like to go lower. But would it hash up the handling?
Cheers!

its the power steering pipe , i think it would need to be repositioned (this is better than bending it out the way) , easy job for a good mechanic to do though, I had min moved after i wore through it wen it was bent out the way

you can buy a new steering arm thats bent so it clears the steering pipes but i would just move the pipe alot cheaper
on a mk1 vtr you don't have to do anything to the power steering pipe, only the mk2's. even on the mk2's it just needs bending out of the way on the driver's side, forget those ripoff gmax track rods. only thing i'd definitely recommend is the bilstein shortened shocks from gmc. the ride will be bumpy and the car will slide a bit more but as i've said before if your car slides when you drive, then you drive like a dick. so if you dont then it isnt a problem. smileys/smiley4.gif

Im sure you can use the power steering pipe off a mk1 they are the right shape so dont rub. Easier just to move it out the way though.
