As far as i'm aware they don't sell smoked rear lights for my car, but i think they would look great...can i do it myself, and how? I've seen the spray-on stuff advertised, does it actually work?

(please, no suggestions involving tights lol)

Thankyou please smileys/smiley14.gif

Thanks for the replies and pics guys.... G, i did consider the black lexus style, but only for a nanosecond after my experience with the saxo lol, after seeing your results on your saxos i think i'll get some tinting spray (if it really is that foolproof smileys/smiley17.gif )

This is the stuff, right? (http://www.gbdriver.co.uk/acatalog/online_Catalogue_tailtint_55.html)

Thanks again for the advice everyone xx

heres mine mate.... oww and remember that you have to do lots of light layers cause if you go too heavy in one hit, you get run marks!! smileys/happy.gif ow and give them a polish 24hrs after so they come up real shiny like this....

whats with the tights? just take your lights off or mask the body work off. whichever suites and spray as many layers as you want until you get desired effect! lol smileys/smiley17.gif

What's the law with the reflectors though? They still need to shine don't they? I've been told my lights may not be legal as the reflectors arnt even there.

The police can you pull you over if they think you have diminished your front or rear lights in any way. This is why people tend to buy the lights already smoked which are also e-marked.

However, with the smoked rear lights, these are not actually road legal as they do not come with a reflector. Depending on where you buy the lights, they may enclose a couple of reflectors for you to stick on the boot lid or bumper, etc... but nobody normally does.

But... if you take your car in for an MOT with the non-road legal smoked rear lights, the MOT testing station will NOT fail your car. My car's just been put through an MOT and it passed with flying colours. I've never had any problems with regards to the rear lights.

Anyway... sorry to kind of going off in a tangent with your thread Lozi. You have a Fiesta do you not!?! I know somebody who had his original rear lights sprayed. Looks quite good. I'm sure you can buy them in a smoked version though. It's just a case of having a look in the right places.
