Well, woke up the other morning and someone had kindly scratched the bonnet and wing on my Mrs's motor and dented the bonnet.

I just don't know why people do this, it's not as if motoring isn't expensive enough. I'm in two minds whether to just leave it or get it looked at?

What do you guys reckon the best option is?

I either get the bonnet & drivers wing re-sprayed (cost as much as car maybe?)

Or

Try and source venetian red body panels and hope they match up well

Had a look over ebay the past couple of days and can't see much on there in the same red

keep tryin 2 source a bonnet and wing the same colour as the car. cz i bet if you buy a bonnet and wing and then get it reprayed to match the colour of the car you will then see loads of bonnets and wings for sale the same colour lol

Itll be worth sending a message to mandyslower70 as he breaks Saxo's, I know they have alot of panels in all sorts of colours so well worth asking. Very reasonably priced too

The following link should take you to his profile

Hello. Im in West Yorkshire (at the moment) and had to fix a bonnet and o/s wing in venetian red. Accident damage, but sounds like exactly the same task :)

Anyway, I found Doncaster Motor Spares ( www.motorhog.co.uk (http://www.motorhog.co.uk/) ) had the panels, good condition, exactly same colour, and ready to take. They deliver them free to Cooper Bridge Spares (just off junction 25, M62 - dont know if you know it?). Think the bonnet was 30+vat and the wing 15+vat. Just a word of warning though - ive tried to get a cylinder head from them and they have been arses about it and ignored my calls 4 days on the bounce. Never had a problem before that though :y:

I'm only in Pontefract so they're all within reach. I'll get in touch with them. Thanks all!! :y:

Surprised how cheap Doncaster Motor Spares is, when to them a few years ago now and thought they were quite pricey. Hopefully they've made their money now! lol

No, its still expensive mate :) maybe I just got lucky. There have been a few times I have tried them and thought, no chance - not paying that. But if your after panels in unusual colours then it normally works out cheaper than going down the spraying route :)

ha just my luck.

Had a look at the Doncaster Motor Spares site and they must have about 10 saxo's in the same spec so well chuffed, let's just hope they have the parts and don't want a fortune.

Sent an enquiry off so I'll give it until lunch time tomorrow and then give them a bell

I went to Doncaster motor spares for a new wing they said it had no major scratches or dents. When I go to pick it up it was covered in scratches, some quite deep and I couldn't get the paint off that they mark em up with, and they wouldnt take less than £30, even though they lied about the condition!
Luckily I'm not to bad at spraying and my car is black. I can safely say I won't be using them again.

Mind you I have bad look with everything:wall:lol. You will probably be okay :y:

If its not deep, try and t-cut it out and polish it up.
It will make a difference.

the scratches are deep and there's about 6 dents in it, almost creases.

It looks like its had a brick or something thrown at it.

If it was just the scrathes I'd try and touch them up myself but with the dents there's just no point
