Looks quite good that mate, as you said just needs to be 30-40mm lower. How much did the wheels set you back?

coilovers are needed lol i like :y:
dont think the yellow fogs suit mk2's or suit silver cars :S
i might go for yellow fogs when i change my bumper see how it turns out lol

Cant be bothered to pay for a good set of coilovers, so just going to see how low i can take it on Apex shocks.
Just needed 20mm spacers (would like bigger ones) to take it from ford ET to Saxo. Wheels are staggered, 5.5J at the front, 7J on the rears with 165/55/13 all around.

the apex shocks wont do anything i have shortened apex shocks and they dont affect ride height at all, id have to get them machined down to lower the car anymore and my housemate tom5190 was quoted £185 each shock to have the machined down
EDIT: just noticed you already have apex shocks, what do you mean by getting them as low as poss on the shocks, what were you thinking?

they'll go lower with custom springs but the dampers will be fully compressed i would imagine

Any idea how much more i can go?

I got a quote for my dampers to be machined down there estimate was £195 per shock.... (this was an industrial maching company that were next door to my unit)
I also got a quote on custom springs from a company, £110 delivered. However you need to calculate the ratings and size of springs for them. Cant just ask for springs to lower a saxo 100mm
Edit: Your also a Mk2 so you need to do something with the PAS pipes, they rub on trackrods and split the pipe, im guessing that at your height now your going to be pretty close to rubbing.

I know about the custom springs, can get them for £50 a pair; just need to find out the measurements etc, got another thread for that. Dont want it slammed, i need to use the car, so i'd be happy even with another 20mm lower

Should be fine then with some aftermarket dampers, obviously wont be the best handling but jsut for looks should be good. Willsy may be able to help abit more with info ...... Were can you get them for £50!? Intrested in getting some for that price.

Well if you can get me measurements for standard springs etc i'd be able to see how much they are at Red Rose Engineering in Blaydon, wish i measured my springs before getting them fitted.
Mierans known as Ninja, wouldn't try hurting him like lol

I think they need more than just the spring length, ive contacted them anyways to see what measurements they need, lbs rating and pan size will be needed too i imagine along with vehicle weight and laden/unladen spring length im guessing (know absolutly nothing about springs tbh so just guessing)

Yeah i know, he said he can only make springs that a coiled straight, but he said if i can provide a standard spring, he'd be able to work from there.
